After decades of teaching healers, shamans, and psychotherapists throughout the world, Dr. Keeney is now offering a unique personal development experience. He is available on a limited basis to work with those individuals who have completed the home study course on the original mysteries. A commitment to eight shamanic tutorial sessions is required. The work involves an initial telephone interview and subsequent e-mail communication. This offering is not psychotherapy, personal coaching, spiritual counseling, or intuitive readings. It is shamanic-inspired interaction that aims to awaken your spirited presence in the everyday. We will do so through Shamanic Conversation, the shaking of mind through engagement with the deepest part of the unconscious where the creative spirit resides. 

Beginning spiritual teachers emphasize assessment and intuitive readings - they attempt to explain what is going on. No matter how accurate they may be, they do not bring you closer to spirit and they typically don’t help you change a thing. More advanced work shifts away from analysis, understanding, and prediction. Instead, the purpose is to help connect you to the spiritual source that waits to move your life forward. Master teachers are more likely to induce confusion or refuse to enter the realm of making sense of your situation. The aim of mature teaching is to liberate you from simplistic understanding and clichéd advice, while bringing you into relationship with the creative guidance of spirit.

Your first interaction will be a telephone interview. Dr. Keeney will then study your information until he has envisioned and written a ritual for you that will be sent by e-mail. The following week you will provide a written report (no longer than one page). The work will consist of eight interactions with prescribed rituals and follow-up. Though you may present any beginning theme - ranging from personal, relational, professional, creative, or spiritual issues or goals - the work will be guided by shamanic expertise with the purpose of helping awaken and infuse the original mysteries of spirit.
