Over the years, Pride of Africa Safaris has organized the groundbreaking field research of Bradford Keeney, Ph.D., who became recognized by the Bushman people as a n/om-kxao, a Bushman healer. We are delighted to announce a rare opportunity to meet some of the Bushman healers he works with. Dr. Keeney will provide teaching, discussion, and experiential encounters with Bushman healing.
This highly experiential tour will feature meetings with men and women healers, providing an opportunity to encounter practitioners of the world's oldest healing and spiritual tradition. They will openly discuss their practices, invite everyone to participate in their healing dances, and, when appropriate, provide healing experiences.
In addition, we will introduce the group to the daily life of a Bushman village, which may include craftwork, food gathering, music, tracking, and hunting. Keeney and his colleague/photographer, Paddy Hill, have maintained long term relationships with the Bushman people you will meet. Proceeds from this tour will help the Kalahari people preserve their cultural healing wisdom.
