Dear Friends,

I am delighted to introduce you to Brad Keeney, a most unique spiritual teacher. I am writing this letter because I want to tell you that my husband, Brad, has authentically paid his dues and has been repeatedly blessed by great spiritual elders from cultures throughout the world. He has patiently endured long periods of learning and has earned his stripes the old fashioned way – through serving his teachers and embodying the suffering (and transforming it into joy) that is required to fire and mold wisdom.

Osumi, Mev, and Brad

I was blessed with the opportunity to travel with Brad and meet most of his spiritual teachers. They chose him to continue their work and made him ready for his important mission. Our family has been long acquainted with the revered Japanese healer, Ikuko Osumi, Sensei, who visited our home numerous times as she prepared both Brad and our family for his teaching work. She passed on her tradition to his custody. That, by itself, was a remarkable lifetime achievement, but this has happened over and over again with spiritual elders from one continent to another. To me, it is perhaps most remarkable that he became recognized as one of the strongest healers of the Kalahari Bushmen. I have observed first hand how they come to him to receive shaking medicine and how they celebrate that the “Sky God,” as they say it, chose him to be an ambassador for their tradition of ecstatic shamanism.

Living with Brad has been an amazing and challenging adventure. I have watched him be declared a prophet by a Catholic priest in Oaxaca, Mexico, announced a high sanusi (the highest level of traditional healer) by the Zulu of South Africa, and celebrated as a scholar and creative therapist by notable figures in academia. It hasn’t always been a cause for victory – our family has experienced both heaven and hell as we were brought into the mysteries of spirit. As I tell my friends, “our life is not possible to believe.” Yet we have always recognized that we have been part of an important historical journey.

Most important, I want to say that Brad, in spite of all the accolades given him, is a joyful, kind, and generous human being. He is the first to laugh at himself and feels he is simultaneously blessed and cursed by the spiritual gifts that adorn him. I have witnessed many of the world’s great healers come to him for help and I have seen him transform the lives of those who are fortunate enough to be in his presence.

I personally welcome you to experience Brad’s work. I ask you to honor his mission and to open your heart to the way in which he sincerely brings truth to our time. He honors his teachers and he is an able and willing servant of God. You will laugh, cry, and shake with delight in this exciting adventure!

Most Sincerely,
Mev Jenson
